Brix + Mortar Elopement, Vancouver BC - May + Kevin

May + Kevin scrapped their original wedding plans, opting for an intimate elopement with just their parents. They got ready together in a Gastown AirBnb space with a slick urban vibe that perfectly complemented their unique style. I loved shooting in this amazing setting: its brick walls, industrial light fixtures and big window were just my style (more on this later). As May did her final check in the mirror, she said, “I look too good!” Kevin (and I) had to agree!

Their ceremony was at Brix + Mortar, one of my very favourite locations. Vimo Weddings created the magical decor, filled with stunning blooms. After the ceremony and a few portraits at Brix + Mortar, we were off to Yaletown to take advantage of those city vibes, then to Stanley Park for that westcoast forest feel.

Portraits done, we went back to their AirBnb to celebrate with champagne and sushi. So good! Before the day ended, we took advantage of the cool lighting in the AirBnb kitchen for some final portraits…which ended up being my favourite images of the day. May + Kevin, you are two of the warmest, most welcoming (and hilarious!) people anyone could meet. Thanks for making me feel like a friend!
