Railtown Couples Session, Vancouver BC - Oliver + Stef

Oliver and Stef are good friends of mine and I was honored to photograph this session for their 2-year anniversary. As you’ll see from these photos, we had many fun moments finding beautiful nooks and corners! Railtown is full of hidden gems for photos that create stunning compositions and lighting situations. We played a lot with shadows, creating some amazing dramatic effects!

This might seem weird, but I personally find that parkades are my favourite spots to shoot! I find I can be most creative when faced with the challenge of industrial buildings that create harsh lighting contrasts. On a funny note though: we got caught sneaking into the parkade, but the random security guard was kind enough to let us shoot there anyway (and he told us to never do it again…). It was definitely worth the minor heart attack because these parkade shots are some of my all-time favourites!
